Military History Ebooks

Just to let our Customers know, as a few emails have come in on this. We have no plans to offer Military or War History titles in ebooks (format) at this stage.

Although there is a lot of talk about ebooks appearing in the market lately, we prefer to stay with the traditional hand held, old fashioned paper books.

Why? For us, some of the many preferences for books over ebooks are:

- You cannot add an ebook to your bookcase, or Military book library to admire or view anytime.
- Real in hand books have a feel, a smell and even a past history. Who owned this book before you?, where has it travelled? May have been to places you may never see? All the more mystery of paper books.
- Showing off your library of Military books, collected over the years can be the talking point of any room. Not quite the same with ebooks on your computer! Yes, the information is there, not the atmosphere!
- Nor can an ebook be considered a real investment, in the same way a paper book copy can. Some books can now be worth hundreds or even thousands of dollars, and in great demand. It is unlikely an ebook will be searched for, purchased with pride, or even bid on in auctions, like paper-books are.
- For Military book collectors, there is no greater thrill of the hunt for an old rare & elusive book. Only to be found when you least expect it, where
you least expect it. A lot of the enjoyment will be gone, if downloading is the only requirement!
- Can you lay in bed reading an ebook through your computer, like a paper-book? just isn't quit the same.

There are many other points, but the idea is real paper-books have been around since the beginning of time, and I hope this doesn't change in my lifetime!

This is of course just our opinion, and ebooks will have their place no doubt, and do serve a purpose. But we deal in Military history, and will continue to only offer this in good old fashioned reading, of a good old fashioned paper-book.

Overtime if the demand from our Customers is high, we will re-consider this stance, but for now the old fashioned book is safe here.
